Materials

4-ply yarn – 2 colors I used white and purple

G – 6/4.00 mm steel hook

1 liquid soap container

small amt of ribbon

Measurements: stands about 5 3/4″ tall


Begin Using purple,  ch 15.

Rnd 1) sc in first chain from hook and next 13 stitches, join in first sc: 14sc.

Rnd 2) Ch 2, (counts as first hdc), hdc in same st, hdc in next st, * 2 hdc in next st, hdc in next st; repeat around from *; join in ch 2: 21 hdc

Rnd 3) ch 2, hdc in the first 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st, * hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st; repeat from * around join in ch 2: 28 hdc.

Rnd 4) ch 2 hdc in first st, *hdc in next st; repeat from * around join in ch 2: 28 hdc.

Rnd 5) ch 2, *hdc in next 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st; repeat from * around join in ch 2: 35 hdc.

Rnd 6) Ch 2 hdc in first 8 sts, sk next 5 stitches (first armhole made) hdc in next 9 sts, sk 5 sts (second armhole made) hdc in last 8 sts, join in ch 2: 25 hdc

Rnd 7) Ch 2, 2 hdc in first st, hdc next 23 sts, 2 hdc in last st, join: 27 hdc.

Rnd 8) Ch 3, 2 dc in same st, sk next st, * 3 dc in next st, (shell made), sk next st; repeat from * around join in ch 3: 13 shells.

Rnd 9 – 12) Ch 3, counts as first dc, 2 dc in same st. * 3 dc in next shell; repeat from * around join in ch 3: 13 shells. end weaving in ends. 

 

Edging: using white

Neckline: 
Working on rnd 1, using white join in first ch, ch 2, 2 hdc in same st, * sc in next st, 3 hdc in next st; repeat around joining in ch 2: 7 shells and 7 sc sts.

Bottom edging of dress 
Join white in any dc stitch, ch 2, hdc in next st, * hdc in next st; repeat from * around join in ch 2: 39 hdc.

End weaving in all ends.

slip dress on soap container, wrap a piece of ribbon around waist. and tie in bow. cut off any extra.
