Verse Mapping using my NIV Bible
I just learned about Verse Mapping, and I’m interested in it. I just got my first Niv verse mapping Bible and can’t wait to start.
I will be adding what verse’s I do along with pictures and other information.
Verse mapping is a technique used to gain a deeper understanding of God’s word. It is a method of breaking down a verse by identifying and defining keywords, historical context, alternate translations, and cross references. Verse mapping goes beyond just reading.
Choose a verse-to-verse map!
- Favorite verse or verses you repeat often.
- A topic you are interested in (hope, peace, strength, etc.)
- A verse in your current Bible study that has personal meaning.
- Verses about going deeper with God.
- A verse that confuses you and you need help deciphering.
- A verse you’d like to learn more about.
What tool for Bible study do you use to look for passages or verses on a particular topic or theme?
When you want to know what the Bible says about a certain topic, use a concordance to search for what the Bible says about it.
For example, when you look up the word courage in your concordance, you’ll find several references. Select a topic and look it up in a concordance
